Earlier this month we had the honour of heading down to Birmingham for the FINAL of English Curry Awards 2023.
English Curry Awards have been recognising the best in the curry industry across England for the past 12 years.
We made it through to the final this year after being nominated by our friends here in Morpeth in the category Takeaway of the Year – North East!
On the day of the event tensions were high, as we drove down with our sister restaurant in Cramlington – Dhamaka!
The evening began with some entertainment, and then it was down to the awards.
There were 10 finalists in our category, all of which were fantastic businesses here in the North East.
So, we were over the moon to be declared TAKEAWAY OF THE YEAR – NORTH EAST!
Infact, Abdul was so pleased that he did a dance onto stage!
Having had time for the news to sink in, our number one message is THANK YOU!
Many of you will know Abdul, how hard he works and how committed he is to the community, but he couldn’t do it without the support of the fantastic people of Morpeth and the surrounding area.
For 40 years you have supported us, and so we want to dedicate this award to all of you.
Thank you so much for everything, you deserve this!
